Dailuaine Infrequent Flyers Single Pedro Ximenez Cask #131 Whisky 16 Year Old · 2008 Vintage
Out of stock
The Infrequent Flyers range is a series of independent single cask bottlings from the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, created to showcase distinctive and often unusual casks from distilleries across Scotland. Each release highlights the unique character of an individual cask, with selections often coming from distilleries or cask types that are rarely seen as single malt releases.
Bottled in small batches or as single casks, Infrequent Flyers whiskies are typically presented without chill filtration or added colouring, often at natural cask strength, allowing the whisky’s full character and personality to shine through. The name itself reflects the rarity of these releases - whiskies that appear only occasionally, offering enthusiasts the chance to experience something a little different from the ordinary.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep mahogany amber with copper-bronze highlights and a glossy, syrup-dark glow, hinting at PX richness and sherry-cask maturity.
Nose
Floral and fruity at first, with peaches and red plums lighting the nose. It then unfurls praline and macadamia nuts, a nutty, confectionery richness that hints at the PX influence.
Palate
Lush, dense and intense, with PX leading the charge. Dark chocolate and espresso coffee meld with brown sugar, while raisins and sultanas weave through the mid-palate. Madagascan vanilla lifts the texture, finished by a kiss of sweet spice, cloves and black pepper that lingers with confident warmth.
Finish
A long, luxurious finish where PX sweetness lingers with espresso and dark chocolate, while raisins weave through. Vanilla, brown sugar and oaky spice linger, with clove and black pepper keeping a gentle warmth as it fades.
