Distilled on 14 July 2010 and bottled in 2021 at 59.9% ABV, this 11-year-old Dailuaine was released as part of the Fable Whisky – Moon Chapter 3 series. It was drawn from a single hogshead (cask #308827) and bottled at natural cask strength.
The Fable series presents whiskies alongside an illustrated story – in this chapter, “The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay – Moon” – with each release drawn from a single cask to highlight the character of the distillery.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Barley sugars, citrus, peach, and tropical fruits, pineapple. Green apple, bold, buttered burnt toast . Also, some spicy notes, cinnamon.
Palate
Big obvious vanilla sweetness plus some toasted malt, toasted wood spices, all spice, honey, distant bees wax and a bit minerally - earthiness. Thick and creamy mouthfeel, apples again. With water added - green grass, freshness comes through. Unripen green fruit.
Finish
Sweet red apples, more honey and a bit of wax, some cereals, vanilla, If these come through now coconut here as well some nice beeswax & pepper. Also, sour and bitter as a grapefruit. Light pepper, spicy.
