Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich sunlit amber with a coppery glow and honey-gold core; a warm, sherry-kissed hue that speaks of age, cask and refined oak.
Nose
Waxiness, sea-salt air and polished oak combine in a refined maritime nose, brightened by orange zest and honey; sherry-matured notes bring dried fig, raisin and almond with a gentle spice.
Palate
Silky and poised on the palate, this Clynelish delivers a waxy, sun-warmed sweetness with a faint coastal saline. Ripe fig and orange zest mingle with toffee and polished oak, while cocoa and almond deepen beneath a sherried richness. Mouthfeel is elegant and slightly oily, yielding a long, refined finish of spice, citrus peel and a whisper of brine.
Finish
A refined, long finish that begins with waxy citrus and maritime salt, then unfolds into lush sherried fruit—raisin and fig—kissed by dark caramel, toasted almond and oak spice. The warmth lingers gracefully, leaving a polished, nutty, vanilla-tinged echo on the palate.
