Drawn from a single refill barrel, this 2010 Clynelish was matured for 15 years and bottled at natural cask strength. The refill wood keeps the focus exactly where it should be, on the distillate, allowing those trademark waxes, coastal oils and citrusy Highland quirks to shine clearly without too much cask interference. It is a very direct, very satisfying style of Clynelish, and a strong example of why the distillery has become such a fixture among whisky drinkers who appreciate this kind of profile.

Pale straw with a light gold tint
Nose
Luminous lemons meet a waxy sheen, carried on a coastal breeze. Seashore notes mingle with small green fruits, crisp, bright and inviting from the moment the glass is swirled.

Lemons, waxes, gorse flower and bigger green fruits.
Finish
A long, waxy finish with a peppery kick, amplified citrus and sea air, and a gentle coconut echo lingering on the palate.
