Sea-salted peat and iodine rise with a brisk citrus zest, lemon peel and green apple. Beneath, sherry notes bring dark fruit, cocoa and toasted almond, weaving with Caol Ila’s signature medicinal smoke. The scent is bold, maritime, and drying, with an elegant mineral finish.

Palate

Oil-rich and full-bodied, the palate is dominated by iodine-soaked peat, coastal brine, and a coating of warmth from the high ABV. Sherry-cask maturity lends dark fruit—raisins and fig—along with vanilla, cocoa, and a touch of spice. The texture is velvety yet fiery, delivering peppery bite and a long, smoky finish with lingering salt and ash.

Finish

An expansive finish where coastal peat and sea spray persist, giving way to sherry-dark fruit, orange zest, and a touch of cocoa. The peat stays buoyant and salty, then eases into warm oak and spice, leaving a long, refined, resinous whisper.
