Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with copper-bronze highlights and a warm honey-toned glow.
Nose
Vibrant, uncompromising peat smoke frames a maritime core—salted kelp, iodine and sea spray, with waxy notes, gunflint and ash. Beneath, sherry-softened fruit aromas emerge: dried fig, prune, cacao and toffee, with a whisper of polished oak. Complex, briny and resinous, it lingers with coastal sweetness and smoke.
Palate
Powerful peat smoke envelops the palate, sharpened by sea-salt and iodine. At cask strength the texture is full and luscious, with resinous oak, espresso, and dark chocolate, joined by sherry-influenced fruit—raisin and fig. A mineral coastal finish lingers, with subtle spice and a final, smoky maritime echo.
Finish
Long, maritime finish of sea-salt and peat smoke that clings to the palate; hints of dark fruit and cocoa from the sherry influence emerge, then slowly taper to mineral warmth with a final whisper of embers and salted oak.
