A spicy Caol Ila from the Elements of Islay range. Thiis is made up of whisky distilled between 2010 and 2011, and aged in oak hogsheads and ex-sherry butts for more than nine years. Doing justice to the true essence of Caol Ila, this whisky brings together fiery and coastal elements with a generous helping of soft smoke. 1060 bottles have been produced.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with sun-kissed honey tones and copper highlights.
Nose
Coastal warmth and a BBQ-spiced kick open the nose: spicy pork notes mingle with smoked paprika and cracked black pepper, lifted by lime juice. Rich hints of hot chocolate with chilli powder mingle with caramelised hazelnuts, while sea-spray freshness threads through, keeping the sweetness balanced and bright.
Palate
Slightly oily with a spicy edge of green pepper and rustic salt-and-pepper crisps. A sweetness develops, revealing dusty chocolate and freeze-dried raspberries, all wrapped in wisps of wood smoke.
Finish
The spice lingers, delivering a dry, salty tang that fades with a final whisper of coastal smoke.
