Buffalo Trace O.F.C. Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 2006 Vintage
In stock
Distilled in 2006 and aged for nearly two decades at the legendary Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, this vintage release pays homage to the distillery’s original name, the Old Fashioned Copper (O.F.C.) Distillery. Presented in a hand-cut crystal decanter and housed in an elegant display case, this release is as visually striking as it is refined. The 2006 Vintage stands not only as a bourbon of remarkable depth and balance, but as a tribute to patience, craftsmanship, and the enduring legacy of American whiskey making.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold sheen, warm and luminous, like liquid autumn in a crystal vessel.
Nose
Elegant and deeply layered, dark cherry compote and caramelized brown sugar rise from the glass, mingling with vanilla bean and toasted oak. As it opens, leather-bound books, pipe tobacco, and a gentle hint of cocoa powder unfold, with a polished warmth, subtle baking spice, and a bright trace of orange zest.
Palate
Silky and balanced on the palate. Rich toffee and maple coat the mouth, evolving to dried fig, black cherry and dark chocolate. Oak is refined, with seasoned wood, clove and cinnamon woven through the sweetness. Mid-palate adds roasted nut and a touch of espresso, lending depth and structure without overpowering the bourbon’s natural richness.
Finish
A long, warming finish that lets sweetness retreat, leaving charred oak, soft leather, and cocoa nib to linger. A gentle spice fades into a dry, refined oakiness.
