17 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in XXO (Extra Extra Old) Cognac Casks. The finished Bourbon is non-chill filtered to enhance mouth feel and richness of the imparted Cognac barrel finish.
The Straight Bourbon Whiskey is aged for 17 years in new American Oak barrels with a #3 char and medium toast profile. The whiskey is then dumped, blended, and re-barreled in XO Coganc casks for another 9-12 months for enrichment from the mature Cognac.
NOSE Maturity and dried fruit with specific aromas of caramelized nectarine and light clove.
TASTE Medium bodied with lightly herbal notes and creamed corn; light oak and heightened baking spices.
FINISH Long lasting on the tongue with never ending caramel and a touch of nutmeg.
