While we regularly sample all our Michter's barrels to see how our whiskey is aging, we pay even extra special attention to our barrels once they are over 17 years old. At Michter's we consider 17 to 20 years the "Fork In The Road Point" when certain barrels of whiskey can achieve an extraordinary level of quality. It is these particular barrels that our master distiller Dan McKee personally selects for our very limited bottling of Michter’s 20 year old Kentucky straight bourbon.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a coppery gloss and mahogany edges; a warm, sunlit glow that reveals decades of oak maturity.
Nose
Intense oak and vanilla lead the nose, unfolding into rich caramel and brown sugar. Dark fruit—fig and raisin—glide with toasted spices, cinnamon and clove, while whispers of leather, tobacco, and espresso add depth. Integrated warmth hints at the bourbon’s 20-year pedigree.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this palate coats with velvety richness. Deep vanilla, caramel, toffee, and maple lead into toasted oak and baking spices—cinnamon, clove, and a hint of orange zest. Dried fruit and espresso emerge, finishing long and warm with oak, cocoa, and refined sweetness at 57.1% ABV.
Finish
An impeccably long, warming finish that slowly unfurls with toasted oak, vanilla and caramel. Dark chocolate and dried fruit emerge, tempered by cinnamon and clove, then fade to a satin dryness accented by subtle tobacco and leather. The 20-year maturation leaves a lingering, velvet warmth that invites another measured sip.
