Heaven Hill Parkers Heritage Collection 2014 Bourbon Whiskey 13 Year Old · 2000 Vintage
In stock
Each year as part of the Parker's Heritage Collection, Heaven Hill select a special whiskey to be released in the name of their late Master Distiller Parker Beam. The barrels selected for this series include Bourbon, Rye, and Wheat Whiskeys, among others, and are some of the finest and most diverse American Whiskeys ever produced. They are a fitting tribute to the expertise of Parker Beam.
A limited release of Wheated bourbon from The Heaven Hill distillery that has more Wheat in the mash bill than standard bourbon (in fact this tends to be 70% corn, 20% Wheat & 10% barley) so no spicy rye here. If you are struggling to find or indeed afford Pappy Van Winkle then this would be a great alternative. A serious Bourbon bottled at natural cask strength and one to sip, savour and contemplate how good American whiskey can be when it is as well crafted as this.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with a warm, burnished-gold core and a mahogany-tinted edge.
Nose
Honeyed and creamy, with vanilla bean, caramel and toffee lifting from the glass. Wheat sweetness delivers orchard fruit notes of apple and pear, while toasted oak, almond and a whisper of cinnamon and nutmeg add warmth. The aroma is lush, polished, and inviting, hinting at a rich, velvety palate to follow.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate with creamy vanilla and caramel, punctuated by honeyed wheat notes. Ripe orchard fruit and toffee mingle with toasted oak, while spice stays elegant and restrained—no rye bite here. The cask-strength warmth coats the mouth, delivering generous sweetness that lingers; caramel, dried fruit, and a final kiss of oak.
Finish
Silky, lingering finish of vanilla and caramel, lifted by toasted oak and a whisper of honeyed wheat. Fruit impressions unfold softly, then a long, warm fade with gentle sweetness and a final echo of oak and grain.
