Heaven Hill Parkers Heritage Collection 2013 Bourbon Whiskey 10 Year Old

Each year as part of the Parker's Heritage Collection, Heaven Hill select a special whiskey to be released in the name of their late Master Distiller Parker Beam. The barrels selected for this series include Bourbon, Rye, and Wheat Whiskeys, among others, and are some of the finest and most diverse American Whiskeys ever produced. They are a fitting tribute to the expertise of Parker Beam.

The 7th release in the annual Parker's Heritage Collection from Heaven Hill. This particular bottling is a 10 year old, rye based Bourbon (approximately 100 casks were hand selected by Parker Beam for this one) bottled at 48% abv and is the first single barrel release in the collection.

Matured in Rickhouse EE, this has a sweet and perfectly balanced nose. maple, honey, fruit, spice and oak. The palate is sweet, full and complex with a continuation of the aromas on the palate, caramelised apples and brown sugar, honey and syrup.. The finish is oaky ans slightly warming but again extremely well balanced. A great value and rounded bourbon that is well worth the price.
