A mellow, restrained nose with cedar, pine, vanilla and a slight polished leather aroma. The palate is still mellow with slight caramel, dusty and woody notes, not the big buttery bourbons usually associated with Heaven Hill. The finish is dry, warming and slightly smokey (wood char not peat) with a slight bitterness developing at the end.
