Another legendary bottling of old Bruichladdich. Distilled in 1970 and bottled in 2002 this is one of the highest rated bottlings out there. 95 points from Whisky Fun.
Matured in American Oak Hogsheads, this has a very fruity nose with apricot, pear, passionfruit and gooseberry, ther's also alittle vanilla sweetness and a touch of menthol. The palate is smooth, oily and textured with lots more fruit evident. apricot annd melon again along with a little oat cake and a slight drying grassines. The finish is smooth and lingering. A whisky you wont want to finish.

Deep amber with honey-gold highlights and a warm coppery glow.
Nose
A vibrant, fruit-forward aroma of apricot, pear, passionfruit and gooseberry, tempered by a delicate vanilla sweetness and a cool hint of menthol.
Palate
Smooth, oily and textured on the palate, with abundant fruit— apricot and melon— and echoes of pear and passionfruit. Subtle oat cake notes mingle with a touch of drying grassiness, finishing long, creamy and refined.
Finish
A satin-smooth, lingering finish that slowly fades, leaving bright apricot and melon fruit trailing softly, with a subtle oat-cake bite and a gentle drying grassy lift.
