Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with luminous honeyed highlights and a coppery glow, edged in warm mahogany.
Nose
Opulent, sherry-kissed nose from Bruichladdich Islay expresses dark fig and raisin, date sweetness folded into antique oak and toasted almond. Orange zest, caramel, and cocoa mingle with sea-salt air, a whisper of smoke, and a touch of leather—inviting, mature, and richly scented.
Palate
Silky and expansive, this Bruichladdich delivers opulent sherry sweetness with prune, fig and cocoa, folded into toasted almond and treacle. A whisper of maritime brine and gentle spice drift through the middle, building to a long, velvety finish of espresso, polished oak and a faint, refined smoke.
Finish
Prolonged, elegant finish that glides with dried figs and raisins, lacquered in dark chocolate and spice; sherry sweetness envelops the palate before a lingering touch of walnut and tobacco, with a gentle coastal warmth that slowly fades to soft oak.
