Blair Athol Flora & Fauna Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old
In stock
Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.
Blair Athol distillery stands at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Perthshire. From the water of the Allt Dour burn comes a whisky with a mellow deep-toned aroma, a strong fruity flavour and a smooth finish – an irreplaceable contributor to the Bell's Blend, one of the most popular blended whiskies in the UK.
A full, rich and spicy 12 year old single malt whisky. Slightly dry on the finish with lots of sherry notes and a slight hint of minty herbal notes. An interesting whisky with an unusual sweet aftertaste. Blair Athol works best served in a traditional whisky glass, neat or with a drop of water to better hold it's sweetness.
