Tasting Notes

Colour

Pale gold with a warm honey glow.

Nose

A rich, creamy nose that develops into grist, brown sugar and candied peels.

Palate

Milky cereal on the palate, evolving toward dried fruits with spiced oak and a touch of stewed apple.

Finish

Long, luxurious finish with caramel and butterscotch lingering, followed by creamy custard that coats the palate. Subtly spiced warmth threads through, fading into a lasting, comforting echo.

Blair Athol
(blair-ATH-oll) Blair Athol was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson in Pitlochry, originally opening as Aldour after the Allt Dour burn. The early distillery closed soon after, before reopening in 1825 under the Blair Athol name. It later passed through several owners, including Peter Mackenzie, before Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
