Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with warm honey-gold undertones.
Nose
Vanilla-rich and creamy on the nose, with toffee and warm oak spice from the ex-Bourbon cask. Orchard fruits—pear, apple, and peach—meander with citrus zest and a whisper of coconut. A polished caramel-honey sweetness, subtle almond, and faint waxy cereal notes weave a vibrant, well-integrated aroma that hints at decades of quiet maturation.
Palate
Full-bodied at natural cask strength, this Ben Nevis pours with vanilla-forward richness from the ex-Bourbon cask, layered with caramel and a kiss of coconut. Creamy orchard fruit—apple and pear—meets citrus zest, while cinnamon and clove spice weave through. The finish is long and velvety, evolving into oak sweetness with a subtle peppery lift.
Finish
Long, warming finish built on vanilla and creamy toffee from the ex-Bourbon cask, gradually unfolding oak spice and white pepper. Citrus zest and almond emerge, leaving a silky, lingering warmth that tapers to a refined oak smoke and a last, subtle sweetness.
