Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with rich mahogany hues and a coppery glow.
Nose
An opulent procession of first-fill oloroso richness: dark plum, fig and raisin mingle with burnt orange zest and toffee. Rich cocoa, espresso and roasted almond unfold against velvety oak, while cinnamon and clove spice threads lift the aroma. Hints of leather and antique wood anchor the sweetness in a luxurious, old-sherry character.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and deeply sherried, with first-fill Oloroso richness unfolding into toffee and dark chocolate, layered with dried fig and prune and a bright hint of orange zest. Nutty almond and roasted coffee mingle with cinnamon and clove, while velvety oak and a trace of leather linger into a long, warming finish.
Finish
Silky, long finish driven by first-fill Oloroso Sherry, where raisin and fig mingle with caramel and toffee, then toasted almond, cocoa nibs, and spices warm the palate. The rich sherry oak lingers, polished and refined, leaving a velvety, decadently enduring aftertaste.
