Matured in a single Port cask and bottled at 59.6% ABV, it is a bold Highland single malt where the cask brings a darker, fruit-led edge to the distillery’s naturally weighty style.
Port casks work especially well with Ben Nevis, adding layers of berry fruit, plum and chocolate while still leaving room for the spirit’s structure and character to show through. Here, the result is a rich, full-bodied whisky, with the sweetness of the cask balanced by spice, oak and the firm profile that suits Ben Nevis so well.
