Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with mahogany depth and a coppery rim.
Nose
Sherry-oxidized richness floods the nose: prune, fig and raisin unfold with dark chocolate, espresso and toffee. Nutty almond, walnut and toasted oak mingle with orange peel and baking spice, while creamy vanilla lingers on a malty, velvety base. A stately, cask-driven aroma that hints at depth, warmth and a long, caramelized finish.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this Ben Nevis reveals concentrated dried fruits—raisin, fig and plum—plus caramelized orange zest and dark chocolate. Oloroso cask influence adds toffee, nutmeg and a whisper of coffee, all embraced by a warm, velvety mouthfeel at 62.1% abv. The finish is long and refined, with leather, cocoa and spice lingering.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish dominated by velvety Oloroso sweetness, with dried fig and raisin, and dark chocolate. Warming spice and polished oak linger, weaving in espresso, walnut and toffee as a caramel-tinged finale.
