A 1996 Ben Nevis, matured in a single ex-sherry hogshead for more than two decades, before being bottled by Elixir Distillers in July 2019, as part of its Single Malts of Scotland range. Aromas of honey, vanilla-candles, ripe mango and melon fill the nose, with the palate offering luscious notes of pineapple, lemon , dates, cranberries and apricots, with spicy notes of cinnamon and mint also.

Colour
Deep amber with rich mahogany undertones and a coppery glow.
Nose
A honeyed nose with warm vanilla-candle sweetness, deftly lifted by ripe mango and juicy melon.
Palate
Silky, fruit-forward palate with pineapple and lemon brightening ripened dates, cranberries and apricots. Spices unfold as cinnamon and mint mingle with a warming, sherry-softened sweetness, leaving a long, fragrant finish of citrus and spice.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of honeyed sweetness and warming spice, with cinnamon and mint lingering. Dried fruits, dates and apricots, fade alongside citrus zest, while sherry depth supports a refined, elegant fade that leaves a subtle vanilla-candle glow.
