Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a sunlit copper-gold core and mahogany-tinged edges, a warm, inviting glow.
Nose
Silky sherry glow with dark fruits—raisin, fig—and candied orange peel. Rich cocoa nibs, treacle and polished oak, cedar and leather weave through spices of cinnamon and clove, with a whisper of espresso and tobacco at the finish.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate with a pronounced sherried fruit core—prune, fig and raisin—woven with dark chocolate, espresso and toasted oak. Subtle spice of cinnamon and nutmeg adds lift, while leather and a touch of tobacco deepen the complexity. Rich, warming and long, the balance of sweetness and oak lingers with refined elegance.
Finish
Like a memory of a fireside cask, the finish unfolds slowly: dried fig and cocoa, orange zest and almond evolving into rich leather and spice. Sherried sweetness stays deftly in balance with nutty oak, leaving a long, velvety warmth that softens to a quietly persistent, elegant fade.
