This is a single malt whisky blended soley from whiskies made of the Golden Promise barley cultivar. Golden Promise was widely cultivated in Scotland from 1968 to around 1980, but is now a rare variety produced only in small amounts. Suntory has created its first product crafted from this cultivar. The label motif depicts the Japanese character for "barley"
