Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with rich gold and copper highlights, a warm, radiant glow.

Nose

Light smoke and sweet peat on the nose, with hints of pear and apple and a caramel warmth that lingers.

Palate

Barbecue sweetness on the palate mingles with nutty, earthy notes, yielding a savory, textured depth that coats the tongue.

Finish

A touch more peat lingers, while bright green apple and nectarine persist, delivering a crisp, fruit-forward finish.

Westland Distillery
Westland was founded in 2011 in Seattle with the aim of making American single malt whiskey that reflected the Pacific Northwest rather than copying Kentucky bourbon or Scotch whisky traditions. The distillery is based in Seattle’s SoDo neighbourhood, and Westland continues to distil there while ageing whiskey in Washington State’s Skagit Valley. Rémy Cointreau acquired Westland in January 2017.
