Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep copper-amber with a warm, honey-gold glow.

Nose

Nutty notes mingle with smoldering moss, flame-kissed orange peel, and roasted plantains.

Palate

Campfire smoke lingers on the palate, threaded with iodine and roasted pistachios. Green herbs add a fresh, savory lift that threads through the malt, finishing with a warm hint of new American oak.

Finish

A long, smoky finish—campfire embers and iodine fade into vanilla-sweet oak, while roasted pistachios and green herbs linger, leaving a dry mineral whisper and a citrusy orange zest glow.

Westland Distillery
Westland was founded in 2011 in Seattle with the aim of making American single malt whiskey that reflected the Pacific Northwest rather than copying Kentucky bourbon or Scotch whisky traditions. The distillery is based in Seattle’s SoDo neighbourhood, and Westland continues to distil there while ageing whiskey in Washington State’s Skagit Valley. Rémy Cointreau acquired Westland in January 2017.
