Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber-gold with burnished copper highlights and a warm mahogany glow.

Nose

Honey-dipped oatmeal raisin cookies mingle with maple syrup and banana pancakes, a warm, dessert-forward bouquet that invites indulgence and hints at sherried richness.

Palate

Ripe and syrupy, the palate opens with kiwi brightness, moves to raisins and sweet cookies, then pastries and stewed yellow fruits. A warm, sherried sweetness coats the mouth with a plush, fruit-forward finish.

Finish

An enduring finish of honeyed sweetness and warm stewed fruit, with raisins and pastry lingering on the palate. Maple syrup notes persist, softly fading into toasty oak spice and a gentle orchard-fresh fruitiness that lingers well into the afterglow.

Westland Distillery
Westland was founded in 2011 in Seattle with the aim of making American single malt whiskey that reflected the Pacific Northwest rather than copying Kentucky bourbon or Scotch whisky traditions. The distillery is based in Seattle’s SoDo neighbourhood, and Westland continues to distil there while ageing whiskey in Washington State’s Skagit Valley. Rémy Cointreau acquired Westland in January 2017.
