Tamdhu Batch Strength Batch 002 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Out of stock
The second batch of this heavily sherry cask influenced cask strength Tamdhu and weighing in at a mighty 58.5% ABV and yes that is natural colour!
A decadent pudding of a malt, big, rich and luxurious and quite delicious, oh and comes in a rather lovely art deco style bottle.
Also great value for money and up there with the Aberlour A'bunadh and Glenfarclas 105 as the benchmark Sherry cask strength releases from Speyside.
Whisky Magazine Editor's Choice/Top Score 18/20 (July 2017)
"Textbook stuff. Perfectly executed and well balanced"
"For the fireside-bonfires or indoors. Should be enjoyed year-round."

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished mahogany with copper-amber highlights and a warm, wine-dark glow.
Nose
Fig jam, brown toast, peanut butter, golden syrup sponge, fruit and nut chocolate, glace cherries, dark orange curd, apricot glaze, cinnamon danish, walnut and mocha.
Palate
Ripe orchard fruits bloom against treacle toffee and rich coffee, mocha and cinnamon latte. Nutty fruitcake notes mingle with figs in honey, sherry-soaked sultanas and raisins. A big, polished oak mouthfeel coats the palate, finishing with sticky toffee pudding and sherry-soaked dates.
Finish
Long and luxurious, with cinnamon toast, kirsch-soaked figs, orange slices in sherry syrup, toasted walnuts, mocha and hazelnut, finished by subtle rum baba and mincemeat tart.
