Talisker Single Malt Scotch Whisky 8 Year Old
Out of stock
A very very rare old bottle of Talisker which after a little bit of research we gather was bottled in the 1970's or very early 1980's. The box proclaims this to be the Golden Spirit of the Isle of Skye.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber, sunlit and honey-toned with a hint of copper.
Nose
A windswept maritime nose of sea salt, peat smoke and iodine, sharpened by pepper and brine; hints of honeyed citrus and dried fruit weave through, with subtle vanilla and leather from well-aged oak.
Palate
On the palate it unfolds with a coastal, smoky core—peat and iodine entwined with a briny sweetness. Waves of sea-salt caramel and dried orange peel deliver a gentle char, while cacao and fig notes add depth. The mouthfeel is creamy yet lifted by peppery spice and a brisk maritime tang. A long, warming finish of smoke, tar, and a whisper of sherry sweetness lingers.
Finish
Long maritime finish with peat smoke and sea salt clinging to the palate, followed by warm coastal spice and a touch of sweetness. A briny, smoky echo lingers, fading to a refined, lingering warmth.
