Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark burnished amber with mahogany depth and coppery glints, a rich, sherry-tinged glow.
Nose
Opulent maritime nose: peat smoke and sea spray mingle with iodine and mineral brine. Sherry-cask sweetness grounds dark fig, raisin, and cherry, edged by orange zest, vanilla, and toffee. Leather and tobacco deepen the aroma, while peppery spice and a final whisper of ember linger.
Palate
Opulent and smoke-kissed, the palate unfolds with maritime salt, embered peat, and dark fruit soaked in sherry. Velvety toffee and treacle mingle with dried fig, cacao, and toasty oak, while vanilla and peppery spice weave through the finish. A long, briny warmth lingers—sea-salt, iodine, and a final wave of smoke.
Finish
Impossibly long and refined, the finish rides on a wave of maritime peat and sea-salted smoke, slowly entwined with sherry warmth. Dried fruits and cocoa deepen, while peppery spice leaves a lingering, sun-warmed glow that echoes along the palate.
