Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a luminous copper-gold glaze and a burnished bronze edge.
Nose
Peat smoke drifts over sea-salt air, with iodine and coastal ash weaving through malt. A sherried sweetness unfolds—raisin and fig, toasted almond, warm spice—subtly accenting orange zest as it lingers.
Palate
Coastal peat and sea-brine ride a wave of warming spice, a whisper of smoke lingering on the tongue. Sherry-seasoned maturity brings raisiny fruit, cocoa, and toffee, weaving with Talisker’s signature pepper and iodine. The texture is polished and velvety, with a long, ember-soft finish of oak, salt, and citrus zest.
Finish
Long, coastal finish with Talisker’s signature peat and sea-salt persisting, gently tempered by the wine cask finish. Rich dried fruit and subtle sweetness unfold, giving way to peppery spice and a briny, maritime glow that lingers, warming the palate with each breath.
