Strathmill James Eadie Single Oloroso Sherry Cask #348030 Whisky 11 Year Old · 2009 Vintage
Out of stock
Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2020, this 11-year-old Strathmill was released by independent bottler James Eadie from single Oloroso sherry cask #348030. Matured in Oloroso sherry wood and bottled at a natural 58.5% ABV, the cask yielded 617 bottles, highlighting the distillery’s spirit with a rich sherry influence.
Strathmill Distillery, located in the town of Keith in Speyside, was originally built in 1891 and converted from a former corn mill. Much of its production traditionally goes into blends, most notably J&B, meaning single malt releases - particularly single casks - are relatively uncommon and offer a rare opportunity to explore the distillery’s character on its own.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with copper-gold glow and mahogany depths.
Nose
Indulgent nose of fresh pastries glazed with syrup and jam—sticky buns, doughnuts, Danish pastries and cinnamon swirls—balanced by rich dried fruits, candied orange and warm wood spice.
Palate
Spice and dried fruit dominate the palate: cinnamon, marmalade, raisins and prunes weave with cream, cherries and chocolate to evoke a liquid black forest gateau. Rich and velvety, it carries a warm oak backbone and finishes long with gentle spice.
Finish
A long, warming finish of fragrant spice, with cinnamon-infused chocolate lingering on the palate.
