Strathmill Flora & Fauna Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old

Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.

The only official bottling from Strathmill, more usually known as the producer of the core of the J&B blends.

The nose is quite soft but very fruity. A hint of grassy greenness with a nuttiness, there are notes of cut herbs and apples, hints of cut hay. The palate is smooth with notes of winter spice and vanilla custard, there is a nutty oiliness which carries everything gently along. The finish is soft and slightly herbal with a peppered edge.
