Strathmill Infrequent Flyers Single Pedro Ximenez Cask #135 Whisky 16 Year Old · 2008 Vintage
In stock
The Infrequent Flyers range is a series of independent single cask bottlings from the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, created to showcase distinctive and often unusual casks from distilleries across Scotland. Each release highlights the unique character of an individual cask, with selections often coming from distilleries or cask types that are rarely seen as single malt releases.
Bottled in small batches or as single casks, Infrequent Flyers whiskies are typically presented without chill filtration or added colouring, often at natural cask strength, allowing the whisky’s full character and personality to shine through. The name itself reflects the rarity of these releases - whiskies that appear only occasionally, offering enthusiasts the chance to experience something a little different from the ordinary.

Colour
Dense, dark amber with mahogany depths and a copper-bronze glow.
Nose
Heavy, deep and intense, with Cadbury's Fruit & Nut chocolate, dark rum notes and an overly fortified trifle.
Palate
Unctuous and viscous, decadence on the palate with pain au chocolat, cinnamon buns and muscovado sugar. Sultanas and pralines mingle with underlying sweet spices, gifting a lush, indulgent sweetness that lingers and warms.
Finish
Velvety, lingering finish filled with Pedro Ximenez sweetness - raisin, fig and dark chocolate melting into toffee, hints of praline and spiced oak, with a warm kiss of cinnamon and clove that fades to a plush, dessert-like encore.
