Springbank "Green Springbank" Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky 18 Year Old · 1973 Vintage
Out of stock
A legandary Springbank that is now refered too as Green Springbank on account of it's very slight green-tinge colour which we are told was due to being matured full term in an ex-Rum cask. Very very collectable and sure to appreciate in value over time.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale green-tinged gold, a delicate, almost translucent hue with a whisper of emerald.
Nose
Coastal, ex-Rum cask perfume: toasted malt, vanilla and caramel rise with tropical notes of coconut and banana, mingling with dark raisin and spice. A saline Campbeltown breeze threads through, while oak and the rum-driven sweetness weave a refined, concentrated bouquet.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this Green Springbank coats the palate with ex-Rum-cask influence—rum-softened sweetness of golden toffee, vanilla, and brown sugar, entwined with tropical notes of pineapple and banana. Spices rise through cinnamon and clove, a touch of coconut, and a maritime hint. The finish is long and warming, impeccably balanced by oak with a subtle peat whisper.
Finish
Long, warming finish powered by rum-influenced sweetness from the ex-Rum cask. Caramel and vanilla linger with brown sugar, tropical fruit notes, and a trace of sea air. Subtle peat and spice drift through, then a dry, oaken tail with cocoa and tobacco hints as the warmth slowly fades.
