Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery mahogany and ruby-red reflections, a warm, port-drenched glow.
Nose
Springbank matured in portwood casks, briny sea breeze and gentle peat weave with port-fruited sweetness—raspberry, plum, fig—bound by caramel, vanilla and subtle dark chocolate. Spices and oaken tannins lend a polished, maritime lift.
Palate
Full-bodied, silky and oily on the palate, with port-cask richness shaping the sweetness. Plum, fig and cherry emerge alongside toffee and dark chocolate, lifted by toasted oak. Subtle peat and sea-salt breeze weave through, giving a coastal, smoky thread. The finish is long and warming, blending fruit, spice and ember-like smoke.
Finish
Long, plush finish infused with port wood elegance. Dried red fruits—raisin, cherry and fig—merge with toffee and spice, while a gentle coastal peat threads through. The warmth lingers as cocoa-tinted sweetness remains, fading to a refined, slightly saline finish.
