Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with luminous honey-gold and coppery highlights, a warm, sun-kissed hue that hints at oak-driven richness.
Nose
Layered aroma of caramelized malt, biscuit, and vanilla from first-fill bourbon, with a cocoa-tinged edge from chocolate malt. Toasted virgin Staffordshire oak introduces spice and resin, while faint orchard fruit and cereal sweetness lift the perfume.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, the palate delivers a bold, creamy sweetness from first-fill bourbon, balanced by pot-still spice. Malty notes from Maris Otter, oats and chocolate malt bring biscuit and cocoa, with a rye-like kick. Virgin Staffordshire oak adds structure, pepper and a drying, tannic edge. Cask-strength warmth lingers, complex and refined.
Finish
Long, warming finish with vanilla and toffee from the Bourbon casks, layered with dark chocolate and toasted oak from the virgin Staffordshire oak. Peppery spice and citrus lift the end, fading to a silky, lingering warmth with a citrus-tinged ember.
