Rosebank (silent) Flora & Fauna Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old
Out of stock
Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.
Gradually as distilleries were commercialised, closed or sold, the range of Flora and Fauna contracted, leaving these select remaining bottles collectable. Most often blended, whisky from each of these distilleries is rarely bottled as single malt, making each bottle from this collection even more rare.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale golden straw with a sunlit glow, warming to a soft amber rim.
Nose
Floral and perfumed, with rose, jasmine and lilac mingling with crisp green apple, pear and lemon zest. A waxy veil lends elegance as honey glints in the background; subtle sherry ushers dried fruit and almond, warming without masking the delicate bouquet.
Palate
Silky and poised on the palate, it unfolds with orchard fruit—green apple and pear, a bright lemon zest—coated in cream-soft vanilla with a waxy lift. Subtle sherry influence brings raisin, almond and a touch of spice, finishing with a refined nutty warmth that lingers into a delicate, sweet-dry glow.
Finish
Silky and refined, the finish unfolds with orchard fruit and delicate florals, then settles into a sherry-soft warmth. Nutty almond and apricot notes linger, brushed by light oak and subtle spice, before fading to a graceful, rosewater-tinted finish that lingers with quiet elegance.
