Colour
Dark amber with luminous copper-gold glints and a mahogany-tinged edge.
Nose
Sea-salted peat and coastal iodine open the nose, with curling campfire smoke and a subtle medicinal edge. Beneath, sherry-pruned sweetness emerges—prune, fig, and a hint of dark chocolate—spun with toasted oak and a whisper of spice.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this Port Ellen delivers bold peat, iodine and sea salt on the palate. Sherry-rich fruit—fig, date and raisin—weaves with cocoa and malt. Oak spice lends grip as a saline, smoky finish lingers with a soft sweetness.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with peat smoke and sea-salt giving way to rich sherry-dark fruits and cocoa. Subtle iodine accents mingle with leather and warm oak, lingering in a refined, warming echo that persists across the palate.
