Colour
Rich, burnished amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany undertone.
Nose
Aromas of seaside peat and iodine rise, mingling with dark fruits, fig and cocoa; vanilla and a whisper of leather emerge, with a subtle sherry sweetness.
Palate
Bold peat and sea-salt lift the palate, mingling with charcoal and ash. Dark chocolate, espresso, and fig sweetness peek through a lacquer of leather and tobacco, while peppery spice keeps the sweetness in check. A briny finish lingers with iodine notes and a final kiss of oak.
Finish
An enduring maritime finish, where coastal smoke and brine linger with refined sweetness. The peat reveals dark fruit and cocoa, fading into iodine-tinted minerals and subtle oak. Warmth persists as resinous peat coats the palate, closing with a long, elegant whisper of sea-wind on a rugged Islay shore.
