Great value single cask Port Charlotte which is a more heavily peated (40ppm) single malt from The Bruichladdich distillery and considering the PC9 goes for well over £200 that makes this 9 year old a steal. Refreshing coastal citrussy peat with notes of white pepper, ashy pear and apple and subtle vegetal and chilli flake heat. Lovely dram of Islay for those that dont like the peat too medicinal.

Finish
Long, maritime finish with coastal citrus and peat lingering. White pepper and ash leave a crisp edge, followed by hints of pear and green apple. Subtle vegetal notes and chilli-flake heat weave through, fading to a dry, lightly smoky afterglow.
