Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich golden amber with warm coppery highlights and a honeyed glow, hinting at the Calvados finish.

Nose

Delicate tropical fruits mingle with crisp apple skins and vanilla, yielding a bright, inviting nose with a creamy sweetness and a sun-kissed orchard character.

Palate

Medium-bodied, pear drops and apple pie warm the palate, followed by nutty vanilla and spice.

Finish

A short, gently drying finish, echoing apple and pear fruit with subtle vanilla and spice, then fading softly.

Glen Spey
(Glen-SPAY) Glen Spey is a lesser-known distillery located in Rothes, Moray. It was built in 1878 by James Stuart as Mill of Rothes, originally starting from an oatmeal mill before distilling equipment was added. The Glen Spey name came in 1887, when Stuart sold the site to W&A Gilbey, the London gin producer that later became closely connected with Scotch whisky blending.
