Silky, malt-forward on the palate with honeyed sweetness and subtle vanilla. Creamy orchard-fruit notes—pear and apple—lift against toasted barley, caramel, and a gentle oak spice. A whisper of citrus zest and a refined, faint smoke lingers, finishing clean, elegant, and well-balanced.

Finish

Long and refined, the finish reveals malted grain sweetness balanced with orchard fruit, vanilla and a touch of oak. A whisper of smoke lingers, with warm spices that gradually fade into a silky, well-rounded aftertaste.

Nikka Taketsuru
(NIK-ah tah-ket-SOO-roo) Nikka Taketsuru takes its name from Masataka Taketsuru, the Hiroshima-born son of a sake-brewing family who travelled to Scotland in 1918 to study whisky-making. He founded Dai Nippon Kaju, the predecessor of Nikka Whisky, in 1934 and completed Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido later that year, followed by Miyagikyo Distillery in 1969.
