Deep amber-gold with warm copper undertones and honeyed glints.

Nose

Mint and fresh-cut grass mingle with sweet notes and a resinous depth. An oily, subtly buttery profile carries fresh fruit, sugar almond and barley, finishing with dried apricot and honey for a warm, refined aroma.

Palate

Silky, oily mouthfeel with a buttery sheen. Mint and fresh grass lift the palate, underpinning sweet notes and a deep resin tone. Flavors of fresh fruit, sugar almond and barley mingle with dried apricot and honey, delivering a refined, lingering finish.

Finish

Long and refined, the finish carries a resinous sweetness with a minty, grassy lift that lingers. An oily, buttery mouthfeel coats the palate as dried apricot, honey, fresh fruits and sugar almond settle into the final glow, with a soft barley echo. The sweetness gently subsides to a polished warmth that lingers in a refined, almond-honey finish.

Nikka Taketsuru
(NIK-ah tah-ket-SOO-roo) Nikka Taketsuru takes its name from Masataka Taketsuru, the Hiroshima-born son of a sake-brewing family who travelled to Scotland in 1918 to study whisky-making. He founded Dai Nippon Kaju, the predecessor of Nikka Whisky, in 1934 and completed Yoichi Distillery in Hokkaido later that year, followed by Miyagikyo Distillery in 1969.
