Nose

Sherry-rich and velvety on the nose, this Mortlach sings with dark fruit—prune, fig, date—woven with cacao, toasted almond and caramelized toffee. Hints of vanilla and spice (nutmeg, clove) mingle with oak, while leather and a whisper of coffee add depth to a luxuriant, full-bodied aroma.

Palate

Mortlach pours with opulent, full-bodied presence and a silken, oily mouthfeel. Rich dark fruits—raisin, fig and plum—linger with caramelized toffee, dark chocolate and a touch of spice. Subtle leather, cedar and toasted oak provide structure, while a lingering sherried sweetness threads through to a long, warming finish.

Finish

Opulent and long, the finish layers dark dried fruit with cocoa, sherry sweetness and warm oak. Spices - cinnamon and clove - fade to a velvety, lingering ember.
