Millburn (silent) Rare Malts Selection Single Malt Scotch Whisky 25 Year Old · 1975 Vintage
Out of stock
This has now become one of the more scarcer editions from the Rare Malts range due to the recent renewed interest in anything from the Millburn distillery which closed in 1985. There is a real old fashioned quality to this North Highland malt, sappy and savoury with a gentle smoke influence.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Old-fashioned and refined, this nose is sappy and savoury with a gentle wisp of smoke. Sherry-cask richness threads dark fruit, leather and tobacco through polished oak, finished with a subtle resinous lift.
Palate
Powerful and plush on the palate, this Millburn delivers a resinous, savoury core supported by sherry warmth and a subtle, just-smoked edge. Rich with dark fruit, leather and cocoa, it glides with velvety gravity, drying toward a long, peppery finish framed by oak and tobacco spice.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish lingers with a kiss of gentle smoke and savoury sap, slowly opening into sherried depth. Dried fruit, cocoa and spice echo on the palate, while oak and resinous sweetness fade to a warm, elegant ember.
