A heavily peated Mackmyra (35ppm) matured in 1st fill ex-Bourbon casks. The nose is very peppery and earthy but the palate has a sweet side that constrasts beautifully to the savoury peat.

Radiant deep amber with warm honey-gold core and coppery edges.
Nose
Peppery and earthy, with damp forest floor, smoky wood and peat smoke; tobacco, smoked red apple, and a hint of boiled vegetables add rustic depth.
Palate
Peppery vegetables mingle with smoked apples and pears, a bright sweetness weaving through the savoury peat. Sweet oak frames the finish, leaving a lingering, smoky warmth.
Finish
Green fruit on a forest floor lingers with smoky oak and peppery herbs.
