This the 13th release from Mackmyra's moment series. This whisky uses Mackmyra's elegant, smokey and extra smokey recipe. The whisky is then finished in ex-sherry casks and bottled at 52.2% ABV.
Mareld meaning sea fire is limited to 1600 bottles.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with copper-bronze depth and a warm mahogany edge.
Nose
Smoke-kissed and saline, Mareld opens with a maritime breeze and mineral tang. Sherry influence threads through vanilla and toasted oak, while whispers of dark fruit and cocoa emerge. The aroma is bold, refined, and marine-inspired, hinting at the whisky’s powerful, lingering finish.
Palate
Powerfully smoky yet refined, the palate delivers a symphony of peat and sea smoke with a creamy core of vanilla and toffee. Sherried fruit—raisins, fig, cocoa—unfolds in a thick, velvety texture, while spices—clove and cinnamon—add warmth. The finish is long and smoky, threaded with oak and a hint of maritime salt.
Finish
An extended, smoky finish coats the palate with charcoal and sweet sherry fruit, the ex-sherry cask lending caramelised notes of almond, fig and dark chocolate. The smoke lingers, tempered by warmth and a maritime echo that stays long after the last sip.
