The Moment series is a selection of limited edition releases that showcase Mackmyra's most exclusive and exciting casks. Moment 22 is a reincarnation of their original Preludium series, taken from their whisky archives, and transferred to 30 litre Swedish oak casks for a final 3 and a half years of maturation. Only 1100 bottles were produced, making this one of the most limited releases ever from this superb Swedish distiller.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Luxurious amber-gold with copper undertones and a sunlit, honeyed glow.
Nose
An oily, buttery, berrylike aroma with rounded oak. Tar carries a saline edge, opening to vanilla, dried fruit, arrack and chocolate, with pear caramel and almond paste. Ginger spark, then herbs, minerals and spices—tobacco leaves, anise, hay and white pepper—linger in a fragrant, smoky lift.
Palate
Fruity and slightly vinous, tarry and spicy with herbal hints and a touch of smoke from a rounded Oloroso backbone. Vanilla and oak mingle with caramel and a saline hint. Roquefort-like mineral bite lingers, while the mouthfeel remains oily and full.
Finish
Long, mineral finish coats the palate in tarry oils, salted vanilla and oak. Spices unfold, a whisper of smoke lingers, and notes of dried fruit and caramel drift away, finishing with a bright peppery kick and a refined mineral snap.
