Mackmyra Fjällmark is a vatting of casks that previously contained Swedish cloudberry wine, Oloroso Sherry, and Pedro Ximénez sherry. The result is a whisky with plenty of oak spice, cloudberry fruit, sweet grapes, vanilla, caramel fudge, white chocolate, and a hint of smoke on the finish. The age of the casks ranges from 8 years to 13 years.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm mahogany glow.
Nose
Fruity and vinous on the nose, with rich oaky spice and a creamy sweetness. Warm butter fudge, white chocolate and almond paste weave through pear fudge, sweet grapes and ripe cloudberries, with a touch of ginger. Subtle notes of tobacco, oiliness, leather, salt and minerals lend quiet depth.
Palate
Very fruity and spicy, with pronounced oak. Sour cloudberries and a delicate salinity mingle with toasted oak, spice and tobacco leaves. Buttered sherry notes, fudge and vanilla lend caramel richness, all carried by a medium-thick texture.
Finish
A long, refined finish of oak and spice, with a delicate wisp of smoke lingering through creamy vanilla and subtle sherry sweetness from the casks.
